What didn't you like?
To my surprise, I found out that Poland and BiH are quite similar, so I had no typical cultural shocks. of course the weather or food were sth I had to get used to, but it was not a major problem. Therefore, I might say I was a bit disappointed that I wasn't surprised by anything and maybe sometimes I felt really weird to be the only foreigner, the only person not understanding what's going on or simply just being different
Did your knowlegde which you gain in AIESEC could been used in your work here, in intershee?
The most valuable knowledge AIESEC delivers are trainings about tolerance and adjusting to new culture. It was also reassuring to know exactly what kind of help in everyday life I can expect from local committee members, what I can do in case something goes wrong (but that obviously wasn't necessary in my case). Soft skills I developed during my 3-year AIESEC experience surely also contributed to the fact that everything went smoothly
Did you feel lonely so away from home
Not really. I'm not studying in my home city, so I don't usually see my family too often. I could always contact them and my friends through Internet. And of course I made new friends, so loneliness wasn't a threat.
You have back home a month ago, all the emotions and memories should be on the place....
If you can will you go again on the AIESEC trainsheep?
Yes, definitely, but first I'd like to finish my studies. So in two years time I'll be again making the exiciting choice of the country I'll live in and the company I'll work in. But this time I'll surely decide for a longer internship, 2 months are just not enough!
Sure I did, all the basic words and ukinuti ropstvo
I also found out that many words are similar in Polish and Croatian
and as for the music - I think I finally started to like turbofolk, although it's totally different from my other music choices
I definitely miss turbofolk songs at the parties.
I didn't know what I should think, cause there weren't too many resources on this country, it's not a popular tourist destination yet. As I wrote before, I expected it to be somehow more different from Poland, but it turned out not to be so
And now I think nothing very surprising - the country still hasn't fully recovered after the war, especially in economic and political terms and this influences everyday life
